The good thing about autumn and winter is the fact that the wood burner is going 24/7 so I currently have a fragrant shin beef stew bubbling away, cooking for free on top of the stove. All this and constant free hot water too - luxury indeed!

The trees were bending and the magpies were struggling, but the jays and wood pigeons did just fine! Speaking of birds we did see something unusual today but at the moment I can't discover what it was. I'll keep looking to see if I can find it.
Tomorrow we refuel at Boothstown Marina then push on to Sale, where we have a very nice looking Italian restaurant lined up for our wedding anniversary celebrations.
Loving the blog!
