Yesterday's coal going on the roof.
Now we are beginning to look like liveaboards! So much wood and coal on board now means some of the coal has to go on the roof. It's a bit scruffy but there's nothing else we can do if we want to avoid making numerous trips by car. Also, the Kelly Kettle is going great which will mean much less gas used, particularly in summer. Finally, our clothes drying regime is working but needs a tweak as far as timing is concerned.
We washed a full load yesterday and the day before to allow us to get on top. Unfortunately due to us running around too much (this has to stop) we have been washing in the late afternoon. The clothes drying in the evening results in more condensation on windows as the temperature falls so, in future, it's going to be laundry in the morning. If necessary, we can crank the fire up a bit to allow us to open doors and windows. You see, this liveaboard life is one of constant evolution! We decided against moving today and did a lap of Pennington Flash instead, enjoying this weather to the max.
We are definitely moving on tomorrow though as we have arranged to meet friends Tony and Louise before they return to New Zealand. So sad really but I suppose evolution applies to everyone's lifestyle choice 😢
