Another change of plan

Tonight's get together at Worsley Old Hall is off with Louise feeding us and Tony watering us at theirs on Saturday instead. So tonight we can attend the rugby club bonfire shindig with the grandkids!
Having checked the weather we turned Lottie around and headed back. As you know the shorts and vests are well packed away and it's been fleecy top and occasional woolly hat time for a few weeks now. Not today! The headgear was upgraded and gloves and gore tex jacket added to the ensemble.
Worst selfie ever!

I would have settled for that but unfortunately it ended up like this
Not smiling now!

As is the way with Sod's Law the worst downpour was reserved until Elaine left the boat to raise Plank Lane bridge - taking the umbrella with her. Sticking with the law of Sod, the rain stopped just as we were tied up
Double rainbow if you look closely.

So, one cup of coffee and a bit of reviving chocolate later we are snugly ensconced indoors, trying to dry my gear for tonight.

If you were wondering, the coat is drip drying in the shower!
